STIX, BAER & FULLER THE "GRAND LEADER" SINCE 1892 Saint Louis (1) Missouri

June 26, 1947

Mr. Jack Conroy ℅ Chicago, Sun Book Section Chicago, Ill.

Dear Jack:

I have seem the contents of your midwest humor job and it sounds wonderful. Damned if I see, though, why you should have Bach and Algren and not Friedman. Wouldn't you like me to dash off a little something for inclusion therein? Just think how big S.B.F. could play this book up if I were one of the authors, too?

I am corresponding with Larry Hill to see what I can do for the book. I'l. mention it in my column (honest to God) and I'll run an ad and if I can figure out a way of having an autograph party where more than five people show up, I'll do the same.

Boy, Bach and no Friedman --- that was the cut direct.

Sincerely, STIX, BAER & FULLER Jo? La? Belle Friedman Lillian Friedman Book Buyer
