Friday, morning, Dear Jack I just got your letter, forwarded from Cambridge. I'll arrive on Monday around 5 pm but I must join at once the Conference on Higher Education at the University of Chicago ( [?] Ave.) It lasts until Friday 15 noon. After that date, I'll be most happy to stay with you for a few days. But anyway I'll call you and I hope I can see you before that date - though the schedule of the conference they sent me seems made so as to leave us no rest!
My wife just had a baby. It is a second boy.
All my best - and thanks again Michael Excuse this letter, I'm in a hurry to reach you.
