March 3, 1958 Dear Jack: 

  Thanks very much for your explicit and very helpful sketch of the book-reviewing situation in Chicago.   The N.Y. Herald, The Christian Science Monitor, & the Providence (R.I.) Journal have all said hey'd call on me for an occasional "round up" of Westerns, for unmentioned honorarium.  Hope your family troubles will lighten (? underlined:  Niece grandchildren!
