A new magazine with a spirit for the type of material I like to write, is in the making out your way. Clear-views.

My novel Let Down is near completion. The writing is nothing to cause Angren unrest, for if I write for another sixty years I still will be out of his league.

Speaking of Midland Honor -- The same cleptomaniac [sic] who pilfered your book of verse, lifted my one and only copy of Midland Humor. I wonder if her record at the public library is as successful. Every time that I see empty space in a book case I bring to mind that red-head.

A friend of mine (A student at Syracuse) is attempting to stage one of my plays there. Has Jas. Light, perhaps, already informed you of this?

"Old soldiers never die." I'm not an old soldier, but I nearly died when "Mac" declared: "These men were mine." Making reference to those boys from Maywood, who blood-soaked the shores of Bataan.

Sincerely Tom
