Aug 31 1864 Dear Mother I will answer your letter which I received yesterday with one dollar and ten cents George Hawk is going home to morrow and I will send this by him if you can have them shirts for me I would like it I do not much expect to get a furlough but I hope I will I will not write any more this time from Johnnie
