Mr. Burbank:

I am delighted with the lovely picture you have sent to me. The work is exquisite & perfect. You are a real honest-to-goodness artist. and there are few souls who have been blessed with your marvellous talent. You were sweet & dear to remember me in such a lovely way. I shall frame & hang the picture where every day it will inspire me, and help me to remember the greatness in the heart of Lincoln, how precious is the memory of your friendship thru the years. I have a very nice & dear husband & we are perfectly happy. We are doing a great business here - have made $36,000 this year, & that is a lot of money for us - as we've never had that much before. I keep the office here at the Glorietta Court - make all the Rentals - keep books & cash drawer straight???? The best I can.
