Turin Dec 30th 1866

Dear Sister Cynthia

It seems a long time since I have had a letter from and also since I have written home. I think yours is the last I have received. Pardon me if I have overlooked any for I feel as if I had passed through a siege. For the last two weeks we have hardly had time to rest; new goods coming in and Christmas and Christmas trees, besides lots of other things, have all contributed to keep us busy. But now as those are over we have time to reflect. Our Christmas trees came off pleasantly. The first at the M.E. Cchurch Monday eve. They had two treess. one each side of the pulpit and the children took part in the excersises in singing, reciting &c. If you have seen Pierce do our folks want me to send a ?? of flour Mon? If so let me know and I will do so. Price $12.80
