And though I am almost afraid to burthen you with more Postage, yet, I am nearly resolved to send you a few sheets more relative to the great national feasts, viz. the Passover, the feast of first fruits, -- the Pentecost, the feast of New moon, and the feast or fast of Expiation. My former statements have been in broken fragments. & very defective. I think also that, I shall be able if God will, to furnish you, directly or indirectly by means of another person an historical sketch of the sufferings & of the Cherokees during the past. But the above communications cannot be forward from here, it is possible, under two, three, or four weeks. In the close of this scrawl, Dear Sir, permit me still to commend the poor Indians to your continual attention & regard.
