The Epistle Story For the honourable, Robert Boyle Esquire, Governr of the right honble Corporation , for Gospelizing the Indians in New Englane. {Right] Honble, a few yeares [since?], I assumed to trasmitt to your honours, a few hystroricall collectionns, concerning the indians in New England, especially the chtian on praying Indians, which script, [as things then stood] was a true account of that matter, And were I to write it againe 9as thing were then circumstanced0 I could not adde, or diminshe; for the substance of it. But since, thee ware began bee- -tween the barborous heathen, and teh English the state of Affaires is much altered with respect to the poore chtian Indians which are much weakned, & diminished, especilally in the colony of Massachusets: in N England A true & impartial narrative whereof their doings suffering & present condition.
