Dear Jack,

   Wanted to keep you posted on my Missouri works:  Johnny's Bar and "Missouri Litany."  I have a feeling that I may have sent you a copy of Johnny's bar already and if I did, pardon the redundancy.  If I didn't, here it is.  "Missouri Litany" is hot off the Xerox machine but probably isn't all the way done because somebody is always telling me a new one that wasn't on any of the official maps.  I admit to making up two place-names in the poem but I defy Joe Teasdale to tell me which two.
  I hope you are ever so well.  One thing I liked about The Dispossessed was the weed & wildflower lore that appeared now and again.   This time of the year is the best there is.  October is not far behind though.
