me - The word taken in this connection very clearly manifest this __Idea that if in the offering of our prayers to == God - crossed out we habour any sin in our heart, & clave to it the Lord will not hear our prayers - But if we are sincere - and do not regard iniquity in our hearts: but desire to cast it out utterly & universally, then we may be certain that the Lord will hear our prayer, & soon we shall have occasion to triumph in divine goodness, and call upon all rational creatures & come & hear what he hath done for our souls.

 In attending further to the words it is proposed to enquire two things -
