Dear Jack: Your "Conroy" is a solid contribution to our country's literature. I am very proud of you & your writings. It is difficult to single out your contributions. I found so much in the three major sections. In the Sketches & Stories I choose a "World to Win;" in your Reminiscences & Autobiography I admire "The Literary Underworld of the Thirties;" in the Articles & Essays group I select "Theodore Dreiser." Yes, your collection is admirable: you tell a story no one else can tell. Your photo section carries an impact. Certainly, I treasure your "Reader"--reader & revelation. Thank you for your inscription to Elizabeth & me...I am happy we have your thoughts about our work...our warmest wishes go to you...we think of you often... Abrazo, Paul PS Did your review of "Address in Time" appear in New Letters?
