Jan 5. 1894. My dear Anna.- I intended to have written you the day that Nette came home but as usual I put it off. I am glad your throat is better. Do you keep Hydrastis in the house. I would, and use it on the first inidication of soreness. I do not dare to be with out it. Nette told about your colored boy scheme. I think it would be a good thing and such a very good excuse to get rid of Lillie. You would not have to have him in the parlor and he would be strong enough to do whatever you need. Cleaning house and all such things. Can he wash, iron and cook. I want you to get rid of Lillie and it is a good chance to do so.
