5 cherries, gooseberries, youngberries (cross between a logan & blackberry), peaches, prunes, pears, apricots, rhubarb, applesauce, grapes, etc. Most of them I canned but some I made into jam, & conserve, butter, marmalade etc. so we will eat fruit next winter if nothing else.
George just said one cannery told them today they still had at least 140 carloads of pears yet to come in and that is only one of them. I don't know who buys canned pears,
we never did. Lots of fresh fruit is also shipped all over the country. Reid Murdock have a cannery here, but I believe that is the only one that would be familiar to you.
Next comes nuts, filberts & English walnuts. If fact they have started to pick them already. You asked about our summer. We did not have the extreme heat that the middle west had and it was always
