hurt? it from Half to two thirds the night of Aug. 4th. A worse one came this year the 23d of June, but the grain was so small that the damage was triffling. A few miles away it was extreme both seasons. Last year was a most pleasant year for farming operation except for this storm but this year too much wind and rain.

The city of Regina made a fine growth last year two fine hotels and quite a number of business houses going up. This year the building is equally as good but mostly residences

and a few good sized apartment houses.

I could get around but little last winter on account of the bad roads I hope it will be better this winter with the new road. It is to run from Metamora to Caz. right along the

railroad and then our place. Paralelling the R.R. it does not hurt the place.

I thank you, May, for your kind wishes expressed in your last letter and I surely feel the same for you. I hope you may drop me a few lines sometime. I might add that for

faml?? things have changed a lot for the better here in the past three years and In Illinois have seemed to have gone a lot worse.

Goodby and goodly blessings follow you May. James.
