burt? it from Half to two thirds the night of Aug. 4th. A worse one came this year the 23d of June, but the grain was so small that the damage was triffling. A few miles away it was extreme both seasons. Last year was a most pleasant year for farming operation except for this storm but this year too much wind and rain.
The city of Regina made a fine growth last year two fine hotels and quite a number of business houses going up. This year the building is equally as good but mostly residences
and a few good sized apartment houses.
I could get around but little last winter on account of the bad roads I hope it will be better this winter with the new road. It is to run from Metamora to Caz. right along the
railroad and then our place.
I thank you, May, for your kind wishes expressed in your last letter and I surely feel the same for you. I hope you may drop me a few lines sometime. I might add that for
familiar things have changed a lot for the better here in the past three years and In Illinois have seemed to have gone a lot worse.
