Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell street Avon Park, Fla. 8-31-55 -

Darling Tafern

What interesting enclosures! The poem honoring Dr. Steed clever and I know he and all enjoyed it. How handy for celebration to have a poetess on tap. The b-day card from

Margarite unusual and please send my warmest regards to her but not to Austen. She didn't mention him - And thanks a lot for the airmail stamps. I had a few on hand. I feel very rich when I have a supply. But the happiest of all is the to-be telephone call after six on my b-day! Am trying to think up things to say -

Am pleased with your comment of the met. Band history - Your poem deserves a fly leaf also, and I hope you will date and post it also. The party must have been

a jolly affair and certainly heart-warming to Dr. Steed.

Do you think Frank has decided to not write to me ever again? Still no word from him.
Byrum called yesterday about 5 p.m. He was at Mrs. Maxwell's, a very good friend of his for many years. she had just brought him from the hospital. He wasn't

feeling too good, but improving, and nothing to worry abt.
