Dear Mum & Grandmum: Have a minute or two to write before show-time. Mrs. Curtis asked me to play this week. Her father died a day or so ago and will arrive here Friday to be laid to rest with the other Churchills. XXX Didn't have time to finish this last night so will start afresh. XXX Thurs. aft. Try once more. Marvin is fine. No measles. We have a band in town now that plays at a band stand at Main St.
