Dearest Mum:

 Your letter and one from Helen in same mail. will enclose it as you were asking about her. Need not return. I had not heard from her nor seen her for several months

so wrote her several days ago, this being her reply. I'm glad she has kept her husband's style of writing. It is so refreshing.

 I am planning to have a birthday party for Malcolm and must go to town some day next week to see about paper napkins and invitations and other customaary
