M.M. MOORE Photo Pillow Tops

Glen Ellyn, ILL. July 16, 1921.

Dearest Mum: Am sending winger screws by this mail. Sorry not to have gotten them off before. Had visions of Grandma wringing the sheets by hand, perspiring the while. How does she stand the heat? It is fairly cool today -just 85 now at 4 p.m., but we have had the longest continual hot spell that even the oldest inhabitants have ever seen. Am not enclosing any V this time but will send 3 of them next week. Max is on his vacation money on his return. We drove to St. Charles and called on Margaret last Monday. She and the baby both look real well, but Margaret is so fat! Weighs close to 170 pounds. Have never seen anyone get so fat so short a time. Austin has to have meat every day all the year round and this helps - together with the fact that she eats a great deal between meals and hasn't so much housework to do as she had in Glen Ellyn. She says they expect to move to Wheaton in the Fall and will occupy Mother Flett's house. M.F. is going

So glad to see Jack London letterhead and photo. How fine Aunt Ida can be there. Have just finished reading John Barleycorn. If you have not read it will send it. give more of an autobiography than 'Martin Eden'.
