Mrs. Kopp and the neighbor on the east side of her home, Mrs. Mauer, have both brought me flowers a number of times - roses mostly, and one bunch of peonies. Mrs. Kopp sent over 4 cup cakes for our Sunday supper. Have sent announcements to various friends. Mailed one to Miss Ross to the address given in the letter you enclosed. Hope she will come see me when in Chicago. I think she is wise in planning to go to California, as she hates cold weather so. The Bentleys have a For Sale sign on their house. The Mrs. has been gone for quite a while. Heard a rumor to the effect that she was mentally unbalanced and that she is in a sanatorium undergoing treatment. If so, it is too bad. She was always so pleasant. Perhaps 3 of one's husband's sisters would be enough to unbalance anyone. Shall go downstairs tomorrow for the 1st time.

Much love, Katharine
