Had no pains with the afterbirth. The doctor showed it to me & explained the various parts. Then he stayed with me about an hour, massaging the uterus and then putting on the bandage. Then went home to breakfast. Max and the nurse were a great help to me and really worked hard, rubbing my back and helping to pull and listening to my grunts and groans. Can lie on my back now without any trouble and think it will not bother me any more. Made Malcolm a pair of trousers Friday out of that piece of heavy white goods left over from what I used for his coat when in Florida - purchased at the McGinnis store. The trousers look very nice & are made after the same pattern as the velvet pants, designed to help out with the pongee blouses. Had a nice cool night for my exertions. Got down to 46 and had to have a fire before morning. Let it go out later in the day. Nurse is going over town now to mail this. I'm sure you will rejoice with me that it is all over with and that Tunsilu is on the outside.
