 My cousin Mrs. Gartz was very good to us all.
 I finally put my pride in my pocket, along with my scotch

thistles and called my aunt in Elgin. She was civil, which is more than I hoped for, so I did not regret calling her.

 How is your wonderful Mother?  I think it is amazing how she keeps up
