My dear May,

 Cousin Mollie sent us a clipping telling of your good Mothers passing  We were greatly surprised. The last we heard of her, she was in excellent health. I want to express to you our love and sympathy for we know what a large space in our lives, is empty  When Mother goes = You have been most fortunate to have kept her so long with you.

The passing leaves Mrs Wikoff the last of that generation - The Whitmires the Briggs, Cassells - Bassetts, Earls & many other we knew in our youth have all joined the silent majority
