Dear May, We recd your sweet letter several weeks ago but life has been crowding us so hard & fast that we have had to neglect all our dear friends. This evening the pressure has eased off a bit & I hasten to write to you. We have spent 2 days at a "Farm & Home Week"at the So. Car. state agricultural college. We leave early tomorrow am for our Georgia place (Rte 3, Clarkesville, Ga) Very early in June I left Fla. & Bertie left Ga & DC both headed for NY City & from there to Amherst, Mass. for the 60th (!) reunion of my college class. I had skipped 59 reunions for various reasons - abroad, out west, down south, very busy, publishing "World Events" - & afraid I'd find my Babbitty classmates less than intrstd in what most interests in fact, absorbs - me, i.e. Socialism.
