Dear May-, your note & enclosures received - So happy to hear from you. Had hoped to see you ere this but our plans seem to need drastic changes often. So we just forge on and do each day as best we saw. We are trying to take life a bit more leisurely. But there are so many persons around us who need, rather must have a little aid in order to meet their family needs. Usually negro peoples. We spend much time & some cash to give them a boost. When ones income is rather small, as ours is, its very different to know how and where spend our efforts etc. writing [crossed out: and] letters & mailing oceans of literature also never missed a chance to hand it out. & speak out for the good cause.
