Sagamore Hill Dec 15th 1912

Dear Miss Wyatt, The ms interested me much--and sadly; I herewith return it. You treat of the saddest, and most perplexing, problem we have to face. I do not believe we can now solve it completely. I do believe that we can greatly diminish the hideous suffering and vice. Perhaps women, when they vote, will help. But are San Francisco, Seattle and Denver better in their respect than cities where only men vote? At any rate, if we
