Dearest Mother Was told rather suddenly last Saturday that this would be the best time to take my vacation, so here I am. Marvin and I did the washing today. Tuesday I took him to see the Rosenwald Museum of Science and Engineering. You may remember that it is the Columbian Museum in Jackson Park, remodelled. This was my first visit to it since its alteration and his too. It reminded us of the fair in many ways. Went through the model coal mine and saw many other things of interest. Went out & back by bus. The small part of Washington Park we went through near 57st it seemed completely filled with colored folk . East of cottage Grove Ave there are not so many of them. Our course did not take us past any of our old haunts but parts of the surroundings were familiar, I enclose a couple of pictures which Marvin printed Had the film developed at the drug store you will see that
