3 I used to read that paper. And B.O. Flowers' 'Arena' was finally merged with Mr Kerr's "New Occasions" to form "The New Time". I've entertained Mr Flower in our very modest home in a suburb of Chicago while the plans for the merger were taking place.

Yes, I'd like sometime to read some of your literary efforts, but not now. I have too little time to myself to really enjoy what I read, and in fact, I've read nothing but periodicals since I came here.
I heard Norman Thomas over WDAE before I got dinner and I heard President Roosevelt after, then Ray Chapman Andrews - whom I admire immensely - and Governor Lehman dedicate the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial in N.Y.C. Static is very bad today and listening is a punishment rather than a pleasure. Thomas made a very fine talk, and his presence I hope will stimulate the Tampa people to demand prosecution of the sluggers. He could not include policies in his speech today, but he put in some big whacks against Capitalism.
