Monday, March 12, 1956. Darling Tafern, A lot of activities the past few days! Cora has a renter who is quite a person. A vet of W.W.I, an inspector of W.W. II, a much travelled Scotchman 78 years old, but not rugged, jolly and sociable, Mr David Hobbin (I think) has taken us to Lake Placid and to Cypress Gardens and Bok Sanctuary last Friday and yesterday. At Lake Placid we called on Mrs Seaverus for a few minutes. She was having the annual committee meeting for something, so we didn't go in. She was looking very well and she gave me a large package. We went around the town, and I went into a dry goods store and bought material for a dress. Mrs. Renfro will make it for me. At Cypress Gardens we saw the water gymnastics and skiing - very wonderful, and acres of beautiful flowers, now at their best, along with the perfume of the citrus trees. The weather was
