n.d.

Holding The Thought,

I hold a thought of Hope

Whose light shall pince the gloom of discontent

And guide through shadows where we blindly grope

To heights that lead to fair environment.

I hold a thought of Faith

Strong to remove the mountain raised by doubt,

And bid imagined ills that else might scathe

Before the souls serenity fade out.

I hold a thought of Love

The self-less love that sheds its warmth on all,

and asks no recompense but soars above

The petty enmities that oft enthrall.

I hold a thought of Peace

That leads us gently far from adverse ways

Into the silence when all discords cease

And soul expansion crowns harmonious days
