Well. I hear old Bertie is dead! Wonder if the world is any better off for his having lived? Old Prettinger(?) was a much better force than McCormick - irregular that two such prominent publishers should pass out almost at ones. Hope you didn't have to throw out many of the oranges in this last basket, I packed these while he was picking and took only the choicest, Garrett(?) has had 3 or 4 jobs since he has been there. Just this morning took a new one, from the me that he began Monday. Mrs. Reufts(?) told me yesterday that he recieved(?) from Toby Renfro.
