those good will come soon for Mother is impatient to get the sewing done while the weather is decently cool. We have just had another cold wave - 36 the lowest. The men gathered the fruit and there were nearly 300 boxes. Of course we lost a good deal by my selling the lump last fall, and Mother speaks of it some frequently - Says it shall never happen again, and would not have been this way if she had had her say, etc. etc. - But I have forgotten the matter. It is not worth while to dwell upon it. I know others who did the same thing who have raised fruit for years - and as Mrs. Spink says, "the whole thing is a gamble anyhow."
