1866. Saturday, February 17. A warm pleasant day compared with those preceding. Spent the day in the office as usual reading & studying the case of Dawson vs Boris. Collective same authorities. Sherman went to see his sheep up near Harrisburg. - At night went to see Miss W - & staid until after 10 oclock. Nothing new. Read a letter from Dr. Fitch enclosing his photograph. Wrote him enclosing mine. - Bought some notes of Bill Thompson $200 and $100.
