1866. Thursday, February 8. Moderately pleasant day. Patterson returned from Sigourney. Jo Lewis came in the evening. McJenkin called in in the morning. Spent the day working at the books. - Sherman & Patterson have worked some to close up their matters though without success as yet. - Have accomplished but little to day the settling of the books is like to be a long troublesome job. - Grill Peters books I placed to day in Wing for collection.
