festival by four foreign branches and the English branch. I "spoke my piece" in as loud a voice as possible, but there was so much moving around - just like the celebrations with which we are so familiar - that nobody heard anything I said. They applauded me warmly because everybody was glad it was over and they could dance. They had a good floor and I tried to dance once with Comrade Mason - one of our Socialist legislators - but something was the matter with either his feet or mine, and we talked instead, which was better anyway as I was tired to death.
