Reached here at eleven: yesterday morning. No one to meet me, so inquired my way and came out to comrade Deverell's - very pleasant people. He a foreman in brass works. Has a wife and three children oldest, a girl of twelve, youngest a girl of nearly three - In between a small boy. His wife had just had an attack of sickness- gall-stones - and apologized for her appearance, the house, etc. but everything was all neat and nice.
