Husbands love your wives, even as X also loved the church & gave himself for it. so ought men to love their wives as their own bodies, he that loveth his wife, loveth himself. The wife should therefore be recd & loved by the husband as a gift of heaven, & he who sendeth a wife, a viirtuous Wife, obtaineth a blessing, from God. Forsak.g all others, the husband is bound to the Wife, by the law of the marriage covenant which is founded in the law of Nature & make a precept of the christian religion. For this cause shall a man leave his father & mother, & shall be joined to his wife, & they two shall be one flesh. A Union of persons in the marriage covenant should ever be attended with a union of Affections & with increas.g kindness & love & in this duty will the relation be happy & love & in this duty will the relation be happy & blessed.
