Dear Carl [?], I read over your letter many times, because it gave me quite a problem about proceeding against the Publishing Company or against Rosen. The latter I discarded promptly, since I agree with you that Rosen is totally irresponsible, as I learned from his not answering [?] of my letters. That idea extended to the company too, and I am afraid that suing it, [?] and [?] will throw the company into bankruptcy and [?thus?] the last and only labor publishing enterprise will disappear. Do you have any suggestion since I know that neither you nor I want that to happen. It seems to me the Rosen and the company live from hand to mouth and the books on the shelf are there because they do not sell, thus if we get a judgment, it will be incollectable. Could you contact [?] again, likely he has the answer, what I do not have.
Sincerely Francis Heisler
