Dear Fred: Missed hearing from you but was plagued with medical problems in the family this year. Finally got back on MJ writing but here is the jolly golly season & John, Son #1, home last week for emergency appendectomy so the dust gathers again on typewriter.

I served as consulting historian to Terry Sanders who's working on Mother Jones docu-drama. He & his co-worker wife & their 2 girls & sitter were here for several days. Took Terry and Frieda up cabin & Point Creeks. There were shots in the hills above us which gave them quite a start. Actually it was wild turkey or squirrel season. I haven't seen the script yet but a pro is writing it. All now hangs on funding the film & Lord knows what will happen with that idiot & his fiscal policies running things from Washington.

Did you make the ILHS mtg in October? I really would have like to have heard a couple of the papers.
