Mrs. May Walden 420 West Bell Street, Box 853 Avon Park, Fla.

Saturday afternoon

Darling Tafern,

The hair nets and two dollars came with your letter this morning. Many thanks. The nets will last quite awhile ( I hope). I'm sure to catch them in the trees when I got out in the grove if I don't have a rag tied over my head. So I try to be careful. I'm sending back one of the dollars for a birthday present for Maxine. Think you will have time to get something. I suggest kindergarten sewing cards, or building blocks - something to occupy busy little hands and train little muscles so they will be skillful as she grows up. Allthea could sew on buttons, and I think you could too, at her age.
