6. Purified by hope.

Every one that hath this hope in Him puryfieth himself even as He is pure -
 As you are expecting to be like Christ yonder, you will be trying your best to be like Him now -

= All this means something very different from retiring from the world - in order to be pure -

 "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil"

Let us, then, hear the divine call to a holy life - "Come & let us reason together &c -

Let us fulfil the ans - to that prophetic question - 

Who are these in bright array and whence came they &c And these shall see God - in whose presence is fullness of joy and at whose right hand there are pleasures forever more.
