Only Jesus Can Calm the Sea. II. he is as rivers of water in a dry land. = He only Can Satisfy the longing of the thirsty soul. III He is as the Shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Notice 1. The position of this rock - It is along the way - not at the end of the journey - It is amid the hot scorching sands of the desert.
2. Notice the permanency of the refuge - Rock - Not Jonah's gourd -
3. Notice the Comfort of this Shadow. It consists in the rock taking into its own bosom the hot rays of the Sun and then giving out the core? shadow.
4. Shadow of a great rock - hence a great shadow - Room for a world of Sinners weary & heavy laden to drop their burdens & rest.
5. This Shadow forms a boundary line. It takes but a moment to cross it.
