3dly Which addresses us for this subject is- a question how we impose these privileges-? Do we experience the saving effects of Christ himselfe- do we possess salvation? While all our hopes are best off from every other name, & centre alone on Christ, do we embrace him in his true Christ as God, man, & Mediator- Do we yield any to his whole will- Perhaps not Possibly we do not head the salvation of our souls even with devine attention- How many do not even this- what solemn mockery & contempt is such comment. better for such never to have known the way of righteousness; such contempt of gospel unclear will bring two fold destruction beyond that which falls upon the stupid idolator- This will be more tolerable for brazen & unclearin the day of Judgment than for us- Let not this be our awful ruin.
