son at whose home I served one of the department luncheons (you were there) and Mrs. Calloway who used to take part in the plays frequently, and Mrs. Schiele, the doctor's wife, and Mrs. [unclear] of the [unclear] News and Mrs. Winters, who arrived quite late, and Mrs. Sanderson, who dropped in informally at the last minute constituted the group. We talked and drew a picture of a small figure of an elephant for for prizes and played the "pencil and paper game" and then wrote verse on a prescribed subject also for a prize - which I won - a small bottle of perfume. It is lily of the valley. Am putting some on this letter. Let me know if there is some smell left.
