4) A week ago Mr and Mrs Lager came for an over night stay on their way from their home (which they have rented for 1 year with option to purchase) in N.J. to Miami, where they have relatives. They stopped here nearly 4 years ago on a visit to the relatives to look at my place, their being advertised to sell N. 1/2. they brought me some beautiful presents. They both have been taking lessons in Ceramics and Mr. Lager gave me a cute creamer and sugar bowl that he made especially for me. Mrs. L. gave me a lovely genuine aligator (sic) bag and a box of the kind of candy I love, soft, filled chocolates! They waited on themselves, and went out doors to smoke their cigarettes when they found the smoke irritates my throat and makes me cough. They took me to do my marketing and errands Thurs. a.m. and left as soon as dinner was over that noon. Mr. L has been a mfg of plate glass all his business life and she has been a teacher of English in N.Y. H.S.'s. Just had a startling phone call from Cora -
