our fathers, - where torn prophets, - do they live torn those venerable men, who in burned ages stood forth as the champions of the Gospel, with that magnanimity which faith inspires, after having served their own generation, by the will of God, fell on sleep. Soon shall we follow them. What manner of person we aught then to be in all holy conversation and holiness?; - with what earnestness should we, for ourselves, embrace, and improve, and contend for the faith once delivered to the saints!
