chapel - but no divine service, my mind so solemnized, & so well pleased me as that of the Protestant Episcopal church. I attended part of the day at Trinity church, and this was the first time of my seeing the church service performed and hearing one of its preachers. I was not only delighted of the service, but was highly pleased with the eloquence whose I was delighted and the masterly manner that the preacher managed the words he had taken as a motto of his discourse. Be thou faithful unto death, & I will give thee a crown of life, were the words. He showed us what was to "be faithful unto death", and then the glorious reward - "a crown of life."
