Glen Ellyn, Ill. Jan. 2, 1927

Dearest Grandmother:

Today has been very warm for this time of year - 40(degree symbol) this afternoon, and some good ice left from our hard freeze about 3 weeks ago, so Malcolm and I went skating for a while this afternoon. It was my first attempt for two years, so got pretty tired, but enjoyed it.

Received the apron and handkerchiefs - guess you must have known I needed an apron. It is lovely - such
