Dear Sarah—

  During a few months past I have been on a visit at the West — as far as the State of Wis. Spent a week at the city of Milwaukee with a patient of mine — on my return I found a letter from your sister Mrs. Butler asking some questions in regard to your coming here as a patient this session or fall. 
 Well Sarah I have not a single doubt but that you might receive benefit from a judicious course of water treatment but how much benefit not how long a time it wold require I am unable now to say but it is my impression that it would be necessary for you to stay here at least 12 months to receive anything like a permanent benefit.
